The fish shows our commitment to the beliefs and practices of the early church, which called itself The Way.

The fish forms two paths that converge at the cross, because our faith teaches that regardless of what path one’s life may take, the only WAY to God must pass through the cross.

The two paths also converge at the cross because the cross forms the basis for the FELLOWSHIP we enjoy with one another.

The people are male and female and come from different paths, converging at the cross, to illustrate that in this FELLOWSHIP of the WAY, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28 ESV
